About

At Twin Oaks, we are a First Generation Angus Stud with a modern attitude to breeding Angus Cattle. We are focussed on the future of yours and our beef cow herds, aiming to maximise your beef bottom line through the traits of MATERNAL, PRODUCTION and PERFORMANCE.

The stud is run on Waipapa Station which is situated at Te Akau, North of the Raglan Harbour in the North Island of New Zealand. Waipapa Station is a 860ha (2200acres) Breeding and finishing property, we purchased in March 2016. In the spring of 2017 we will mate close to 500 registered females.

Twin Oaks sell bulls at two sales per year, June 18 month bulls and September yearling bulls.
Alongside the stud herd we trade Angus steers. We try to purchase these steers from our clients because we know what these cattle can do for us. Like all parts of our farm the stud and commercial business are performance driven. Every blade of grass grown has a value and needs to be maximised to enhance productivity in the business. We also trade between 5000 and 8000 lambs

We aim to breed functional, quiet, fertile cattle with well-balanced EBVs and performance traits. We believe this combination to be a successful recipe for improving our clients’ returns, the true measure of our success.
We are passionate about the beef industry and the genetic gain we can provide.
